WeighPack Introduces new Horizontal Form Fill Seal – Swifty R2B |

Systems Inc. (WeighPack) is pleased to launch its first HFFS machine, the
Swifty R2B. Horizontal form fill
and seal technology integrates bag making, filling, sealing, and printing in
one automatic process thus increasing productivity and reducing labor and film
costs.
The Swifty R2B eliminates the need to purchase pre-made bags. It uses
laminated roll stock film to create a variety of different pouch styles
including; flat-bottom, stand-up, 3-sided seal and 4-sided seal bags with or
without zipper closures.
Designed
to handle bag sizes ranging from 3” to 8” wide and 4” to 11” long, the R2B runs
with speeds of up to 120 bags per minute.
Standard
features include stainless steel construction, Schneider PLC controls and servo
motor and OMRON temperature controller. Options such code dating, zipping
device, film perforator and a notcher for easy tear-off are also available.

DeltaTRAK®, Inc.has released a new temperature and humidity chart
recorder, model #14013. This validated circular chart recorder allows users to
select and/or change recording periods from any of the seven available time
spans ranging from 1.5 hours to 31 days. Charts are available for recording
temperature in either Fahrenheit or Centigrade.
The 14013 Temperature
Humidity Chart Recorder has an ambient temperature range of 32°F to 120°F (0°C
to 50°C) and will record relative humidity from 10 – 90%. The 6” circular
charts can be used for single rotation or in a continuous mode. Recordings for
temperature and humidity are easily distinguishable by red and blue pens. The
red pen (temperature) may also be set to record dew point.
Alarm features allow
users to set high and low limits for both temperature and humidity. In the
event of a temperature or humidity excursion beyond any limit, the 14013 will
sound an audible alarm and the display will flash. There is also the capability
to set a delay time for these limits before the unit goes into alarm mode. This
is an ideal way to prevent nuisance or false alarms.
Applications for the
14013 include refrigerated storage facilities, warehouses, office and
manufacturing environments, laboratories, greenhouses, live animal facilities,
and many more. It is powered by an AC adapter and also has an AA battery backup
system.
